The task for this project was to create a new identity for the debut of a progressive management consulting blog. The client is a corporate managerial coach targeting forward-thinking and socially conscious companies.Her work approach is cutting edge, holistic, and dynamic and she wanted to convey that in the total look of the blog, staying clear of any stuffy “managerial/corporate” image while still communicating a consistency and professionalism. The project needed to attract to an audience that is largely younger, highly creative and intelligent, savvy, socially and environmentally conscious, and progressive in their thinking and approach to their work.
The client wanted the design to have be clean and uncluttered, with plenty of white space.I sought to convey these qualities and played with the “hub” theme visually as well as blending some more traditional elements to keep the business end of things strong but using them in more creative and interesting ways, juxtaposed with modern elements and placement. The above image was the final choice.
Once the banner design was decided upon, I followed with a clean but distinctive layout design, below, supporting all the client’s priorities.
